What's the widest one can go with wheels on the front of an AWD model GT?

Looking at 20x8.5 fronts 20x10 rears. Should I go:

245/40 front 275/35 rear
245/35 front 275/35 rear
245/35 front 275/30 rear

The last seems to be closest to the overall oem 19? dia. But will the ride on the 30 rear be a bit rough?

If you plan to lower it, I'd go with 245/35 front 275/30 rear. What wheels are you looking at?

I do not plan one lowering it, just read a lot about trying to keep the overall dimensions the same... How big of a deal is that?

Looking at the Niche Sector in matte black.

It's always good to stick with the same dimension as close as possible.

Last question! How are 30's ride-wise? Sacrificing much?
30's in the rear will be fine. I wouldn't go 30's up front though, like VegasStinger said you're more susceptible to bending the wheels going that thin up front.

Definitely stick with the 245/35 up front. Offset willing- you could manage that 275/35-20 if you're not planning on lowering it. the 275/35-20 is at the cusp of the +3% recommended overall diameter difference. Not sure what tire options are available in that size, but far less than the 245/35 and 275/30 combo.

New hiccup, the wheels I want only stagger at 20x9 and 20x10.5. I don't plan on lowering it, but 10.5 seems too aggressive... Would I be better suiting going 9 all around? Then 235/35r20(or 235/40) fronts and 255/35r20 rear?

You can run 20x9 and 20x10.5 ALL DAY. With the right offsets you can fit an 11" in the rear. Now, those tire combos work BUT- unless you like the stretched tire look, you'll have to wider. something like 255/35 Front , 285/30 Rear.

20x9 +35
20x10.5 +40

A 255/35 up front won't rub? I'm leaving it stock height?

nope, not one bit. [rockon] Also, shoot us a line. That offset is too low for the rear. I know that Niche Sector is only available in that +40 rear, we offer custom machining to increase that offset so we can tuck inside the fender.

Question has probably been ask but for awd, wheels have to be the same size right? No staggered?
The wheels don't have to be the same width per se, BUT the tires have to be the same Overall Diameter. you can stagger- as the Stinger does from factory, just keep in mind that the tires both front and rear have to have the same O.D.
