Hi, I am from Australia, Melbourne looking at purchasing a JB4 for my Kia stinger does anyone what is the best option for tuning my Kia stinger

It's either a JB4 or a Lap3, some of us have a ECU tune like myself. It all depends on how much you want to spend, JB4 would be your cheapest route. I ran the JB4 for 8 months an loved it, but I ended up going with a ECU tune..

Is a ECU tune better than the jb4 and the lap3, what is the difference between them all, my vehicle is new and I am slowly modifying it

I personally like the ECU tune, don't get me wrong the JB4 is a great plug & play tune. Most guy's run the JB4 with WMI & E30 + the bolt on mods to get close to 500whp but I didn't want to run those. John at Tork Motorsports does flash tunes with the ECU but that will void your warranty. I went to a local tuning shop here in Arizona where they adjusted the settings in the ECU, here's a Dyno sheet of my numbers. A lot of guy's will say an ECU tune is always better including myself but the JB4 is the easiest to remove.


The bottom number was with bolt on mods only, the middle number was with the JB4 & the top is with my ECU tune. That tune was with 91oct, I wanted a tune where I could drive across the USA an not have a problem. When I fill up with 100oct the power goes up to 490whp & 535wtq..

Racechip is another option. Its pretty cool because if you want you can unplug it right before going to the dealership if you are worried about warranty. Also it gives 133 tq and 57 hp gains. Right now it is listed at $449 but when checking out it drops to $349.
