Changing any less that 3-4K is almost wasteful (IMHO). Synthetic oils just don?t break down like ?old school? oil did. Also, most higher performance engine blocks are made of aluminum-alloy which is typically much stronger and wears better than the older iron engine blocks. Just my 2??s...
